Each day, 42 children are excluded from school. Not only does this impact their engagement with education, but their mental well-being and future prospects. Our charity partner, Jamie’s Farm, was set up in 2005 by Jamie Feilden and his mother with the vision of making vulnerable young people better equipped to thrive during secondary school years and beyond.

Jamie’s Farm acts as a catalyst for change, enabling disadvantaged young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through its unique residential programme. Each child is invited to live on one of four working farms for a week and given various responsibilities, such as chopping wood or collecting eggs for breakfast.

They are encouraged to spend more time outdoors, living in a real family environment where they are taught how to cook and can enjoy sociable meals and hot chocolates around the fire pit. Combining farming, family, and therapy, the team has helped more than 9,500 children find a renewed sense of purpose and happiness when all the other odds were stacked against them.

The farm itself strives to run as sustainably as possible – something we’re very passionate about at G&G. Their renewable energy system provides green heat and electricity, plus they collect rainwater to reduce water consumption. Lots of the fruit and vegetables on site have also been lovingly grown in the organic garden.

Family-founded at their HQ just outside of Bath (like us!), Jamie’s Farm is a truly inspiring charity that we are proud to support. You’ll find us:
